I grew up in a beautiful coastal town in Morocco, where I was inspired by a rich array of artisan ceramicists whose skill and style had been passed down through generations. It was in this setting that I developed my own unique style as an artist and a love for marrying textures, forms and patterns.I moved to the U.S. in 2003 in order to continue my development as an artist, eventually pursuing design. After earning my B.S. in Design from Drexel University, I held a position as an art director at Michael Graves Architecture and Design, where I had the honor of working closely with the legendary Michael Graves himself.

In 2016, I decided to launch Dounia Home. It was always my dream to share my Moroccan heritage and unique artistic style with people around the world. And it was with this intention that I started my line of products. The collections exude simplicity, functionality, and history.
